As the exterior photos show, the property that the owners purchased is a very steeply sloping one. Our clients are French Canadian and asked that their Vermont full-time residence reflect their rich Canadian heritage and their appreciation of the Adirondack style architecture.

One of our goals was to blend these impressible stylistic histories into an easy living home, oriented towards the path of the sun and to focus on the wide vertical and horizontal views towards the Green Mountain Range and its highest peak, Mt. Mansfield.

Stained with espresso and deep red colors and supported by tapered stone columns, the house appears to grow out of the land form and remains grounded on all elevations.

The casual eclectic interior is finished with antique re-sawn floors, old world plaster application in the kitchen, custom locally built cabinetry, wrought iron stairway balusters and rails, a massive stone chimney and saturated mellow paint colors. The owners travel extensively and are furnishing their home with a unique collection of furniture and art that reflects their international interests.
